NFL Betting: Best AFC Regular Season Win Totals To Bet On

The 2017 season is already just four months away as the countdown to kickoff continues. While we still have to deal with training camps and preseason, it’s not too early to start betting NFL futures with an eye on finding some quality value with the early odds. We took the time to look closely at the AFC regular season win totals to find the best value in terms of betting futures right now. Here is a look at the best AFC regular season win totals to bet on.

Baltimore Ravens – 9 Wins – UNDER

Baltimore seems to be getting a lot more credit than it might deserve in terms of its early futures line for the 2017 season. The Ravens are coming off a disappointing 8-8 season. While they might be better on paper in a couple of areas, there are also some major concerns dotting their current roster. Joe Flacco’s regression is a big part of that as he looked absolutely awful at times last season. Baltimore’s offense revolves heavily around Flacco’s play and there is no guarantee he will bounce back next season. Meanwhile, the defense has some key holes that could prevent it from being a top-10 unit in 2017. A lot has to go a team’s way in order to record 10 wins in a season. The more likely outcome is that Baltimore fails to hit nine wins in 2017.

Cincinnati Bengals – 8.5 Wins – UNDER

Speaking of AFC North teams that appear to be somewhat overrated in terms of the current lines for their 2017 win totals. The Bengals certainly seem to fit that description. Cincinnati is coming off a brutal 6-9-1 season and they failed to substantially address their biggest weaknesses in the offseason. Andy Dalton isn’t about to magically transform in to Tom Brady so expectations need to be tempered for the Bengals looking forward to the 2017 season. Cincinnati will be in tough to reach the .500 mark. There is good value betting the UNDER in this spot.

Tennessee Titans – 8.5 Wins – OVER

Marcus Mariota finally got some help at the running back position last season and it really helped him thrive in Tennessee. The Titans offense is more of a throwback with a smash-mouth running style that is complimented by Mariota’s ability to make plays with both his arm and his legs. Mariota’s continued development, another year of growth with the same core and some key offseason additions should help the Titans reach at least nine wins for the second season in a row.

Los Angeles Chargers – 7.5 Wins – OVER

The Chargers might be one of the better values on the board right now. A move to Los Angeles makes things a little more complicated. However, the Chargers offense is absolutely loaded and there is no way they will be as banged up as they were a year ago. Better luck alone should lead to a substantial improvement after last year’s 5-11 season. The Chargers are looking to make a statement in their first season in Los Angeles. Nobody will be shocked when they post more than seven wins in 2017.
