EPL Betting: The Best Bets For This Weekend's Top Three Premier League Games

Only five games in to the Premier League season the table has already begun to take shape with Manchester City running away with the early lead while the defending champions Chelsea have really struggled early on while potential contenders like Arsenal and Liverpool have both dealt with their share of adversity early on. The stage is set for another exciting week of action in England’s top flight with a key match between a pair of potential title contenders in the spotlight. Here is a look at the best bets for the top three games in the Premier League for this weekend.

Chelsea vs. Arsenal
Saturday, 7:45 AM ET
EPL Odds: Chelsea +131, Arsenal +195, Draw +237

Jose Mourinho’s men have looked absolutely lost at times early on this season as they haven’t even come close to resembling a side that dominated at the top of the Premier League a year ago. Now the hope is that a 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv can help provide a spark heading in to another key showdown against an Arsenal side that has been pretty good for the most part early on although they two have had issues when it comes to scoring. Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, Oscar and Willian all found the back of the net for the Blues in their latest Champions League win and it’s about time that all four of those key players heated up at home with just one win to show through Chelsea’s first five Premier League games. Arsenal is coming off back-to-back wins over Newcastle and Stoke but their five goals on the season is still two fewer than the Blues have recorded and this could be the game where Mourinho’s men finally break through with an impressive win at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City vs. West Ham United
Saturday, 12:30 PM ET
EPL Odds: Manchester City -440, West Ham +1043, Draw +498

Manchester City has been absolutely dominant in the Premier League with five straight wins to open the year including a 3-0 win over Chelsea but unlike the Blues they are coming off a tough Champions League loss that could lead to a minor stumble at home in England. Yaya Toure said he thinks City was unlucky in its 2-1 loss to Juventus but the reality is that they struggled to create much at the offensive end of the pitch and were exposed by two quick goals including an absolutely beautiful finish by Alvaro Morata that ended up being the difference in the game. City won’t lose this game at home but they will find it tougher than some expect against a West Ham United side that currently sits fourth in the table following a couple of impressive wins over Liverpool and Newcastle United by a combined 5-0 score.

Liverpool vs. Norwich City
Sunday, 11:00 AM ET
EPL Odds: Liverpool -177, Norwich +457, Draw +299

It’s hard to figure out what to make out of a Liverpool side that opened the year by earning seven of a possible nine points through three matches but has since dropped consecutive losses to West Ham and Manchester United by a combined 6-1 score. Brendan Rodgers once again appears to be a manager under fire and while he has been quick to dismiss the idea of any added pressure on him or his club the reality is that there will be a real sense of urgency heading in to this weekend’s game. Norwich City has scored a couple of big wins over Sunderland and Bournemouth but they have also suffered some lopsided losses at the hands of Crystal Palace and Southampton so nobody will be surprised when they drop a game here against a Liverpool side that absolutely has to find a way to get back in to the win column on Sunday.
