La Liga Betting: 3 Best Week 5 Games To Bet On

La Liga has some midweek action that you should be checking out as well, so you'll have to see if your team is rotating players to avoid injury. The action kicks off on Saturday as Malaga heads to Real Madrid, while Atletico Madrid visits Villarreal, and Celta Vigo heads to Eibar, but again, check out the midweek matches for injuries, etc.

Malaga @ Real Madrid – Saturday, 12:15 PM ET
La Liga Odds: Real Madrid -2.5 +102, Malaga +2.5 -118

Malaga sits in 18th place and is one of four teams (all at the bottom) without a league win as they fell 1-0 at Getafe over the weekend, and they host Villarreal on Wednesday. Real is in third heading into their visit to Athletic Bilbao after a 1-0 home win over Granada, and their depth will be tested as they have the Champions League next week as well. This is the price you pay when you play/manage at a club like Real Madrid, who have the money to fill their squad with enough good players to handle fixture congestion such as this. Going into Wednesday's game, Real was the only team in La Liga to not allow any goals yet.

Real have won their last five in a row against Malaga, who managed a 3-2 win at home in December 2012, but they've been outscored 14-5 since then.

Atletico Madrid @ Villarreal – Saturday, 2:30 PM ET

Atletico stayed ahead of Barcelona in the table with a 2-0 win over Getafe at home on Tuesday, although they have that game in hand on Barca, who visit Celta Vigo on Wednesday. Villarreal is in fourth after a 3-1 win at Athletic Bilbao and then they head to Malaga on Wednesday. Villarreal is one of three teams in La Liga who are still perfect at home with Real Madrid and Barca, posting two wins, no losses and no draws, but they'll surely be tested on Saturday against Atletico, who have two wins in two road games, scoring five goals and allowing none.

These two split their meetings last season, with the away team winning by a 1-0 scoreline each time. In the last six meetings, however, Atletico has won three and drawn two.

Celta Vigo @ Eibar – Saturday, 4:05 PM ET
La Liga Odds: Celta Vigo +104, Eibar +272, Draw +222

Celta Vigo is in fifth in the table after a 2-1 win at Sevilla, but they host Barcelona on Wednesday and they can't count on taking three points from that match; a draw will be more than sufficient. Eibar fought gamely in their 2-0 loss at home to Atletico, which left them seventh in the standings, and they head to Levante on Wednesday. Eibar also started out hot last season until a second-half slump that saw them wind up in the relegation zone and they were only saved by Elche's financial mismanagement, which led Eibar to be saved. They'll be aiming to avoid that again.

These clubs split their two meetings last season with the away team winning 1-0 each time. They have met one other time, in the Spanish second division in June 2005, and Eibar won 2-1 at Celta Vigo.
