MLS Betting: The 3 Best Games To Bet On This Week

The New York Red Bulls improved to 3-0 in their city derby with a 2-0 win over New York City FC to continue their ascent in the MLS standings last week and while they still have a long way to go to catch DC United for top spot in the Eastern Conference they are certainly on the right track. Meanwhile, the Vancouver Whitecaps continue to win but can’t get any separation at the top of the Western Conference with the LA Galaxy hot on their heels. Here is a look at the three best matchups in the MLS this week including the best bets to win for all three games.

New York Red Bulls vs. Toronto FC
Saturday, 7:00 PM ET
MLS Odds: New York -160, Toronto +372, Draw +295

The Red Bulls delivered against their New York rivals in front of another packed crowd over the weekend and while they can be excited about trending in the right direction they still have some work to do before an important clash with DC United at the end of the month. Toronto FC is in a tough spot coming off a loss to Sporting KC with only three points separating fourth from seventh place in the East but that doesn’t mean things are about to get any easier for them. The Red Bulls have been excellent at home where they have been able to feed off their crazy fans and they should be able to extend their hot streak this weekend against a Toronto FC team that has shown flashes but has lacked consistency on the road this season.

Pick: Red Bulls

FC Dallas vs. LA Galaxy
Saturday, 9:00 PM ET
MLS Odds: Dallas +121, Los Angeles +201, Draw +237

It didn’t take long for Giovani dos Santos to deliver for the Galaxy as he assisted on Robbie Keane’s game-winning goal in last weekend’s 3-1 win over the rival Seattle Sounders to help LA keep pace with Vancouver at the top of the Western Conference. The Galaxy are two points back of top spot and could potentially close that gap with a win on Saturday at home where they own the best home goal differential in the MLS with a plus-23 mark. LA will also be looking to hold off FC Dallas for second spot in the Western Conference and even though the visitors are coming off a bye week it’s hard to imagine them upsetting the Galaxy on the road.

Pick: LA Galaxy

Sporting KC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps
Saturday, 9:00 PM ET
MLS Odds: Kansas City +105, Vancouver +245, Draw +230

Sporting KC is another team that is right there in the mix in the Western Conference as even though they have played fewer games than most other teams they are only five points back of the Whitecaps for the top spot. SKC’s four losses this season are tied for the fewest in the MLS but if they are going to close the gap on Vancouver they will need to beat them this weekend. That won’t be easy with the Whitecaps matching their single-season MLS record by recording their 13th win last weekend. Vancouver is undefeated in five games in all competitions so look for both teams to bring their best this weekend in a matchup that will more than likely end in a draw.

Pick: Draw
